OnePlus has had a really good year thanks to the OnePlus 3 and 3T. The smartphones have been one of the best value for money handsets of all time and are still selling like hot cakes. This year however, we are expecting the company to bring in a brand new OnePlus handset and while rumors have been popping up every now and then, an official confirmation is finally here.
According to the Verge, OnePlus has exclusively confirmed that successor to the OnePlus 3/3T is going to launch this summer. It is highly unlikely that it will be called the OnePlus 4 as the number is considered unlucky in China, so OnePlus 5 is a safe bet.
According to leaked specifications of the handset, it could come with a 5.5-inch 2k (2560 x 1440 pixels) display, the latest Snapdragon 835 processor, a 3,000 mAh battery, and 23 MP rear-facing camera. Another rumor suggests that OnePlus will go with a dual-camera setup with two 12 MP sensors, one capturing RGB info and other capturing black and white details.
We could also see bumped up RAM and storage options with 8 GB and 256 GB offerings on the upcoming ‘flagship killer’
Let us know what you think, are you waiting for the OnePlus 5?
